I have been spending time trying to crank out the uEmcee.com IPhone version for some time now, hence the reason why the podcast was not uploaded this Sunday, sorry.
I know a lot of you guys are not IPhone users at the moment and that fine there is also a standard mobile version but without all the bell and whistle. There are a lot less restrictions with building IPhone compatible web site then with building a standard WML or XHTML site. Bottom Line we'll be working on bringing the standard mobile site up to par in the near future.
Ok with the IPhone version you only get the bar essentials. When the page loads it load the top 10 artists. There's a search box at the top where the navigation is usually located. You can do a search on any artist/band to pull up their profile, this is a direct match query so if you spell the artist name wrong you'll come up empty.
An artist profile consists of the main image, news, and bio information. Two image from their image gallery if they have them and one song from their play list, and yes you can play the song via your IPhone.
We are trying to stay innovative and current. Next month Apple is suppose to introduce some big things for the IPhone which in return will bring more IPhone users, hopefully we can catch some of that traffic.

And my very brief Bun B sighting. I was sitting at work when someone said there was a tour bus outside…and of course I had to be nosy. I was lucky enough to grab a quick glimpse of Mr. B as he stepped off the bus and walked into the TV station. He was in a green and white Zune tour bus so I assumed he was on some kind of Zune tour (hows my detective work)… Bun B - On the Road

Another big decision that we included in our new release was the ability to add external links to your profile page. This is a lot different from how we use to handle external links. In the past we filtered out all and any external link that was added to a artists profile page. This was done to protect the growth of the site, we where new to the space and wanted to keep what little users we had at the time. Our train of thought is different now then what it used to be. We now have special locations setup in the users profile page that will allow you to add other social page links. We tried to select a few of the bigger social sites to go with.
We also add one other extra slot so that you can add another link of your choice.We realize that these other online social communities also play a big factor in many independent artist marketing strategies. So instead of muffling your marketing effort's we decided to take a different route and play nicer with the other online communities. Bottom line we are here to help you build an audience.
Step to set these links.
Log into your uEmcee account
1. While in your control Panel locate the "Account Setting" link.
2. Under the grayed out box where you username is located there's a link labeled "Click to add additional links" in some browsers this link will expand a set of text boxes where you should enter in your additional links.
3. Add your other social web site links, then click "Save Account Settings"

For about 2 years now I have been using Audacity, a free and light weight audio editing software that's easy to use out the box. I'm to believe it’s pretty popular; so far I haven’t been in a conversation where the other person had no idea what I was talking about.
In the past I have been known to bounce between Audacity, Sony’s Acid and Propellerhead’s Reason but now tend to lean more towards Audacity, again it’s a free and light weight application. I have it installed on my laptop and it allows me to make quick edits to podcasts, voiceovers and etc.
Just out of curiosity I set up a voting script to see if I can get some kind of idea of what is the preferred weapon of choice when it comes to editing software.
I'm talking about the uEmcee weekly Podcast mix show of course. It's episode #4 baby and we have another fresh five line up for this week. From California to Canada, it's going down.
Good news our podcast mix is back in Itunes. Yep go to iTunes and do a search for uEmcee and you should find our new listing. The dam old listing is also still there, along with some other poachers that we see where attempting to steal our shine.
We reached out to iTunes but have no idea how long it will take to get our old listing removed. I guess something like this can take times.
The uEmcee Podcast Show is a weekly Podcast where we included five emcees or DJ's from the uEmcee.com website. This selection is totally random. There is no payment or bartering involved in the selection process.
